There is one caveat though, the player who was the least amount of money at the end of the game automatically loses. So you have to be wise with your spending. The game was new to Beth and Joe; Gail, Rob and Bonnie were High Society veterans. Despite everyone at the table believing Joe had overspent, it turned out to be Beth who had the least amount of money at game end. Of the remaining players, it was Joe who had acumlated the best item; thus winning the game.

Maggi had brought her beautiful H/AH version. The large tiles were a big improvement over the 1970's plastic grid version we all remembered. Being in on early mergers helped Rob initially, but good end game play by Tom pushed him over the top to victory.
