Res Publica is a Reiner Knizia game where players must guide their people together to form cities, exchange knowledge and build monuments. Each turn players attempt to trade cards to get 5 identical people or technology cards in order to gain either a city or a monument. Aaron outpaced Beth and Joe for the win.

New England is the recent Alan Moon game of Pilgrims settling and developing New England. You play one of four families developing towns, pastures and fields. Bob made a shrewed bid near the end of the game that allowed him to develop two plots of land scoring 12 points that turn. This pushed Bob over the top to victory.

After explaining Union Pacific to Beth and Mike (who had not played this before), we played a five player game. A quick first scoring turn hurt Marvin and Rob, but efficent use of stock propelled Marvin to victory.

Detroit/Cleveland Grand Prix is a game where you as race team owner, bid for cars to race in the Grand Prix. The owner who accumlates the most money after three races wins. I (Rob) went with the by a cheap jalopy ($10,000) theory but only came in second. Beth who often got into bidding wars with Aaron knew the cars she wanted as she won the game on the strength of two first place and a second place finish.

Bob and three other Catan developers pulled out this classic to play. Bob went on to victory in a close game; while Dan claimed that it was a conspiracy to stop his development. Not too many people must of traded with Dan who only scored 4 points.

Fluxx was described by Tobin as "Uno on Crack". Fluxx is a card game where the rules are constantly changing based upon the cards that are played. This seems to be a light game (along the lines of Lord of the Fries, or Give me the Brain) not to be taken too seriously.
