El Grande

One point. Doesn't sound like much, but it does the trick. This was a competitive game as three of us broke from the pack. I thought I had the win but Rob managed to pull ahead by 1 point on the last scoring turn. Good job Rob.

Bob's "2" rating was a function of feeling overwhelmed by choices. I can see his point but I still think El Grande is a great game. -- Dave

Puerto Rico

This was another one point game. I was impressed though as our two new players scored fairly well. Josh got into coffee very early and this made him a rich man early on. But somehow Thomas managed to buy two of the 10 doubloon buildings. However, he came up 1 point short. I guess this redeemed my El Grande loss. :-)
